This incident caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
